Business Delegation to Morocco & Tunisia  ( Buyer Seller Meet)

July 25 – 29, 2016: Casablanca & Tunis

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) is mounting a multisectoral Business Delegation to Morocco & Tunisia from July 25 – 29, 2016 in association with Indian Embassy in Rabat, Moroccan Chamber of Commerce, Indian Mission in Tunis and Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tunis.

The main agenda of the visit would be Business to Business Meetings, Seminar, Industry Visit and Interaction with Senior Govt Officials in both the countries.

Focus Sector of these visits would be Fertilizer, Chemicals, Iron & Steel, Textile, Pharmaceuticals, Food Processing & Food Products( Spices & Dairy Products), Automobile, Information Technology, Energy & Infrastructure etc.

Morocco-India trade relations have scored a steady growth. In 2014, trade between the two countries stood at $1.36 billion, with India’s exports to Morocco amounting to $500.5 million, while imports were valued at $855.8 million.

India’s export to Principal Commodities to Morocco:  Manmade yarn, Fabrics, Cotton yarn, Fabrics, made-up, Machinery & Instruments, Metals, Transport Equipment, Primary and Semi-Finished Iron & Steel, Electronic Goods , Natural Silk yarn, fabrics, made-up , Plastic & Linoleum Products , Drug, Pharmaceuticals & Fine Chemicals ,Rubber Manufactured Products Except Footwear , Sugar ,Tobacco Unmanufactured ,Manmade Staple Fibre , Spices , Dairy Products , Jute Products, Chemicals etc

India’s Import of Principal Commodities from Morocco:  Inorganic Chemicals, Fertilizers, Crude, Electronic Goods, Ores and Metal Scrap, Machinery except Electrical and Electronic, Spices , Iron & Steel, Artificial Resins, Plastic Material, Wood and wood products ,Organic Chemicals , RMG (Woven & knit), Medicinal & Pharmaceuticals Products , Pulses etc.

Whereas, Tunisia has been a reliable source for phosphates (a primary input for our fertilizer industry) since 1950s. Di-Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) and Phosphoric Acid are the two major products being imported from Tunisia. India accounts for over 50% of Tunisia’s global phosphoric acid exports. India, on the other hand, exports a wide range of products. Significant among them are mobile telephones, earth moving equipment, machinery, articles of iron and steel, marine products, sugar, tea, pulses, raw tobacco, finished leather, fine chemicals, polyethylene and yarn, etc.

India’s export to Principal Commodities to Tunisia:  Plastic & Linoleum Products ,Cotton Yarn, Fabrics, Manmade Yarn, Finished Leather ,Marine Products, Leather,  Footwear Components ,Non-Ferrous Metals ,Machinery & Instruments, Inorganic /Organic /Agro Chemicals, Drugs, Pharmaceuticals & Fine Chemicals, Tobacco Unmanufactured , Fresh Fruits, Paints /Enamels /Varnishes, Spices ,Cosmetics /Toiletries, Rubber Manufactured Products Except Footwear, Electronic Goods etc

To defray a part of the expenses such as printing of who’s who, communication expenses, etc. incurred in connection with organising the visit, a delegation fee of INR 50,000/- ( + Service Tax) is being charged per delegate. The travel & accommodation cost will be taken care of by the delegate.
